Hi & Welcome to NickAlly Van Life
We’re Nick, Ally and our gorgeous, mischievous dog Jaxy — the little four-legged character who keeps us laughing, keeps us on our toes and, naturally, considers himself a very important part of the NickAlly team!
For us, NickAlly Van Life is about so much more than travelling. It’s about choosing a different way to live.
For a long time, we felt like we were drowning in society’s idea of what a “normal life” should look like — the routines, the pressures, the expectations and the constant feeling that life was passing us by.
We knew we wanted something different.
We wanted to get back out into the elements. To slow things down. To live a simpler, more carefree life — perhaps with a little of that free-spirited feeling of the ’60s.
We wanted to find ourselves again.
We wanted to explore our Great Country, discover the places less travelled, wake up surrounded by nature and create memories together — with Jaxy, of course, happily tagging along for every adventure.
We’ve both faced our own mental health struggles, and those experiences made us look at life differently. We realised there had to be another way — a life with more freedom, more simplicity, more connection and more time spent actually living.
Because one thing life has taught us is simple:
No one is promised tomorrow.
And that’s when the idea of Van Life really began to take hold.
NickAlly Van Life was born from our dream of living life on our own terms — travelling, exploring Australia, enjoying the outdoors and embracing a simpler way of life with our best little mate Jaxy beside us.
Our store is an extension of that journey.
We want to help fellow van lifers, campers, caravanners, 4WD adventurers and freedom seekers find practical, affordable products that can make life on the road easier, safer, more comfortable and — most importantly — more enjoyable.
Whether you’re already travelling Australia, planning your escape from the everyday routine, heading away for the weekend, or simply dreaming about the freedom of the open road, you’re welcome here.
We’re not chasing the conventional life anymore.
We’re chasing sunsets, dirt roads, campfires, new places, simple moments and the freedom to decide what tomorrow looks like.
And somewhere amongst all of that, you can usually find Jaxy getting up to a little mischief!
