Cookies and Similar Technologies

NickAlly and Shopify may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand how visitors use the store and support advertising and analytics.

Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Disabling some cookies may affect how certain parts of the website operate.

Where required, you may also be presented with privacy or cookie controls through the website.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to organisations that help us operate NickAlly, including:

  • Shopify
  • Payment processors
  • Delivery and freight providers
  • Product suppliers and fulfilment partners
  • Website and technology providers
  • Analytics providers
  • Customer-service providers

Shopify

Our online store is powered by Shopify.

Shopify processes personal information relating to customers' access to and use of our store so it can provide and improve its ecommerce services.

Information entered into our store may therefore be processed by Shopify and its service providers, including in countries outside Australia. Your existing policy already explains that Shopify may process store information internationally and may use information across Shopify services. Pasted markdown

You can learn more about Shopify's privacy practices through Shopify's own privacy information.

Overseas Disclosure and Processing

Some of the service providers used by NickAlly or Shopify may store or process information outside Australia.

This may include cloud hosting, ecommerce, payment, analytics, fulfilment, communications and technology providers.

Because these providers and their infrastructure can change, it may not always be practicable for us to specify every country in which personal information may be processed.

Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and handle personal information consistently with applicable privacy requirements.

The OAIC says an APP privacy policy should state whether overseas disclosures are likely and, where practicable, identify the relevant countries. OAIC

Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, social-media platforms or other online services.

NickAlly does not control the privacy practices of those third parties.

If you follow a link to another website or platform, we recommend reviewing that organisation's own privacy policy before providing personal information.

Security of Your Personal Information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

We also use service providers, including Shopify, that maintain security measures for the systems used to provide their services.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you contact us, please avoid sending sensitive information through insecure communication channels unless it is necessary.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes such as:

  • Fulfilling orders
  • Providing customer support
  • Maintaining transaction and accounting records
  • Managing returns or disputes
  • Meeting legal and tax obligations
  • Preventing fraud
  • Enforcing our terms and policies

When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted, de-identified or retained where required by law.

Accessing or Correcting Your Personal Information

You may contact us if you would like to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you
  • Correct personal information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
  • Ask a question about how your personal information is handled

We may need to verify your identity before providing access to or changing personal information.

The OAIC specifically identifies access and correction procedures as matters an APP privacy policy should explain. OAIC

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may also be able to:

  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications
  • Change cookie or privacy preferences
  • Request deletion of certain information
  • Ask questions about how your information has been used or disclosed

Some information may need to be retained where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or transaction purposes.

Children's Privacy

NickAlly is not intended specifically for children, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children who are not legally able to provide that information themselves.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to NickAlly inappropriately, please contact us so we can review the matter.

Privacy Complaints

If you have a concern or complaint about the way NickAlly has handled your personal information, please contact us using the details below.

Please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate your concern.

We will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable period.

If your concern remains unresolved and Australian privacy law applies to the matter, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

The OAIC recommends explaining both how customers can complain to the business and how the complaint will be handled. OAIC
